Grand Canyon University online has been amazing to get a great and full education while be able to work on my own terms. I do not have to stress about getting to class, I can work at my own pass so long as I meet the deadline. For the most part, professors are really good at communicating and giving feedback. I would pursue more degrees online here.
The curriculum is very well done and the access to textbooks as well as other resources is great!
I have learned different tools and ways to research and navigate through my tine at GCU.

Love my dorm, love my classes. Wish it was less cliquey! There are tons of fun things to do but seems like alot of people from Colorado and Arizona go as a low cost solution which creates a lot of cliques. When you are new and shy, you feel like everyone knows each other except you. Once you start making friends, you realize alot mote people are like you rather than already in a clique.
GCU has some amazing resources for many majors and specialty groups. There are amazing recording studios for music majors. The state of the art medical facilities and huge gaming facilities.
I feel safe on campus but it's scary to venture out due to the surroundings areas. Alot of drug and homelessness. You learn where to go and where to avoid fairly quick.
However you really don't need to leave campus much except for church & grocery shopping and toiletries because everything on campus is really expensive. The cost of food has gone up tremendously this year so having extras in your dorm helps!

I am an enrolled first-year student at GCU and start my first semester in the fall! So far I have spent quite a bit of time at the campus and have been participating in academic events even including community games like scavenger hunts and such. The campus is beautiful and colorful, unlike many other campuses I have visited in the state of Arizona. It provides lots of shade from the AZ sun and has a comforting, city-like architect that makes it feel like you are in a community. The people I have met have been very welcoming and kind, and it is easy to tell that GCU cares deeply about their sense of community.
