I sit and watch the rain
And see my tears run down the window pane
I sit and watch the sky
And I can hear it breathe a sigh
I think of him, how we were
And when I think of him
Then I remember, remember
In his eyes I can see
Where my heart longs to be
In his eyes I see a gentle glow
And that\'s where I\'ll be safe, I know
Safe in his arms, close to his heart
But I don\'t know quite where to start
By looking in his eyes
Will I see beyond tomorrow
By looking in his eyes
Will I see beyond the sorrow
That I feel
Will his eyes reveal to me
Promises or lies
But he can\'t conceal from me
The love in his eyes
(His eyes)
I know there every look
(His eyes)
They\'re like an open book
(His eyes)
But most of all the look that that hypnotizes
If I\'m wise
I will walk away, and gladly
But sadly, I\'m not wise
It\'s hard to tuck away the memories
That you prize
Love is worth forgiving for
Now I realize
Everything worth living for
Is there in his eyes
Love is worth forgiving for
Now I realize
Everything worth living for
Is there in his eyes

you seem to be a newfound glory fan, so I really don't think you have a lot of room to criticize other people's musical tastes...

actually, this is a really pretty song! you cant really tell by the lyrics, but its actually sung by 2 people, and even though the lyrics are sappy and rather cliche, the harmonies are BEAUTIFUL. and the 2 women's voices are AMAZING. overall, this song has a lot of power and is packed with a lot of intensity and energy. i love this song. so. dont be a stupid close-minded pop person. actually LISTEN to the song before forming an opinion. dont just trash something you dont know about just to be cool. lol. anyway. doesnt want to start a fight on a comment board though lol.

You need to see it in context of the play in order to fully appreciate the song. It is about two women in love with the same man, but one is going to be married to him, and the other is a women who was first shown kindness from this man. This is one of my favorite musicals, it has a darker side to it, and it is not one of those 'happy endings'

when rules change Life in Your Way High life Grand Theft Auto Insane Ian The way this song speaks to me🥺🥺when I sing it I feel like I relate Standing On The Edge Of Summer Thursday In regards to the meaning of this song:Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul. The Night We Met Lord Huron This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:"I had all and then most of you"Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart"Some and now none of you"Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"Rate These Lyrics
