Park Spaces

Please be advised that construction on Grainger Plaza surrounding Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”) in Millennium Park will begin around August 15, 2023 and continue through the spring of 2024. During this time, public access and views of Cloud Gate will be limited. This necessary maintenance by the City of Chicago will replace pavers and make other repairs and accessibility upgrades to the Plaza—to enhance the nearly 20-year-old Park’s appearance, visitor experience, and position as the #1 attraction in the Midwest.

  • BP Bridge between Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park (exit only during events)
  • Chase Promenades – including Cloud Gate also known as "The Bean" on Grainger Plaza (reopening late May)
  • Crown Fountain (water feature opens in May)
  • Lurie Garden
  • Nichols Bridgeway between Millennium Park and Art Institute of Chicago, open during museum hours, closed during Park events
  • Welcome Center (201 E. Randolph St.), open 9am to 7pm (or until the end of Park events)
  • Wrigley Square
  • The Jay Pritzker Pavilion and Great Lawn are open for events only (view out Attending an Event page).
