Does IFC have previews? ›

Our preshow, which includes a short film and trailers for upcoming programs, starts at showtime. Special events and in-person appearances will not generally include a preshow and will start at the listed showtime.

AMC Networks has positioned the theater as an extension of its cable channel IFC (Independent Film Channel) because IFC was to take over the building. IFC has converted the historic building, originally built as a church in the early 19th century, into a three-, and eventually five-theater facility.

When you go to select movie showtime or look down at you're printed ticket, the time listed also includes previews. AMC says, “The feature film does not start at the published showtime.” This also means that the film duration does not include the trailers that play before the movie starts.
